This is a scythe throw animation for the main character in Plague Eater. The idea was for the character to throw his scythe, sending it spinning toward enemies like a boomerang. The animation effectively uses principles like follow-through and secondary action, giving the throw a strong sense of weight and power. Created in Maya, I also rigged the model, set up constraints, and used weight painting to ensure the body moved accurately. However, the legs in the animation are too stiff and could use more movement to make the animation smoother overall. In future projects, I plan to gather more reference material to help improve the fluidity and realism of my animations.
