Scuba Helmet

This is a model I created in Maya, rendered in Blender, and baked in Xnormal. My goal was to design a Bioshock-themed scuba diver helmet, which is effectively represented through the pipes and light on the top. Creating this model helped me improve my skills across all the software used. In Maya, I became quicker at spotting and fixing ngons and creating UVs for more efficient workflows. This project also enhanced my baking skills, producing normal and occlusion maps. In Blender, I improved my rendering and lighting techniques. However, while the base model fits the intended look, the textures hold it back, as some colors clash and textures overlap. To improve I would spend more time in Photoshop to ensure the textures don't hinder the final result. In the future, I will focus on refining this aspect.
